January is NOT my family's month...

I took Abigail to the Dr monday for fear that she was becoming ill because she wasn't acting right... Darn instincts...

Today we went back with 104 fever and a VERY lethargic baby and it came on fast! We were all waiting in the office to see the doctor and the nurse came in and gave us cool clothes to get her temp down and it just kept climbing. After a few minutes of playing with the cloth a temp check Abigail finally let me sit down.

Shawn and I were talking and all of a sudden we noticed she didn't look right, she started seizing seconds later. She stopped breathing for about 20 seconds and then continued to seize with extremely shallow breaths. My poor kids and husband have only ever seen Michelle seize and hers are no longer scary to us we have just learned to stay calm and keep her safe. Abigails frightened all of us. She just seized so violently and for 2 minutes and the whole not breathing thing didnt help either.

Needless to say we scared the WHOLE office and took an ambulance ride 2 blocks over to the closest ER to be told she has a virus and KEEP HER TEMP DOWN. And it's written just like that in big bold letters. Well DUH DOC!! What did you think I was trying to do with all the tylenol and Motrin I have given her today???!!! Im just grateful I was able to bring her home and all is well!
